Official national site for the AHS, founded
in 1962. The American Harp Society's aim is to "promote
and foster the appreciation of the harp as a musical instrument,
to encourage the composition of music for the harp and to improve
the quality of performance of harpists." |

Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen (ISFHC), providing a focus
for folk harp activities world-wide. Producer of the Folk Harp
Journal, an engaging harp publication full of articles, free
harp music, classifieds & more. The magazine subscription

The Gulf Coast Harpers, our local chapter
of the ISFHC. A fun group of harp players who use time and talents
to educate, as well as to entertain, the public about folk harps
and traditional music. This group is pretty active, and has regular
harp circles. You will also find the link to the GCH Yahoo! group

The Harp Column is a fantastic magazine
written by harpists for harpists. It's a great tool for
students and professional harpists alike - I recommend that all
of my students subscribe! This website includes classified ads,
helpful discussion groups, upcoming events, current harp news,
and more. |

for how to find other harpists, harp teachers, harp manufacturers
and retailers, recordings, accessories, and almost everything

The Harp Spectrum website is full of articles,
photographs, artwork, and other harp information that is helpful

Peter does pedal harp regulations, and comes to our area about
once a year. He is my preferred technician, and does an excellent

An international non-profit organization,
with members representing over 50 countries. Founded in
1981, WHC welcomes anyone interested in the harp. The World Harp
Congress sponsors an international congress with exhibits every
3 years, with an emphasis on performance, composition, harp appreciation,
and encouraging young harpists. |

The Victor Salvi Foundation is a non-profit
organization established in 2000 "to promote the harp to
a wider audience." The website includes information
about the foundation's current young artists, concerts, harp
programs & teachers, historical harps, and the Victor Salvi
Museum. |
